Wrapping up the year in great company on Kansas Public Radio! #gratitude

I sent some old DAT tapes to my mastering engineer to find out what was on them, and among the 15 tracks was a mysterious version of Woman She Used To Be, recorded sometime in the mid-1990s. I have zero recollection of the who, what, when of this session, and I wish I did because there’s some seriously terrific playing on it!

Who doesn’t enjoy hearing their songs on the radio! Big love to Sacramento DJ Mike Lidskin for playing No Lullabye on his Tuesday night extravaganza and plugging my jazz show in January. (Click on the pic to link to the audio)

And who doesn’t love emails that start with “Congratulations!”? Very thrilled to get the notification that I’ve been accepted to the Singer Songwriter Residency at the Banff Centre. I’ll be holed up there for three weeks in March next year, writing, recording, performing and networking with a truly amazing bunch of folks.

The bonus is there will be hot springs. : D

My brother took this photo of me during my first summer in Banff after leaving home many years ago, sitting in a bar dreaming of what the future might bring. Dare to dream!
