Eventually the fuss died down, and it was back to toiling away on my songs in my dark but cozy basement suite. Over the course of a rather dreary winter my life changed completely. I started making plans to get married to the love of my life, who was working with John Lee Hooker at the time and decided he wanted to move to Canada to be with little old me.

One of his first clients was a great band from L.A. called Rank and File, so I got to record a song with the awesome rockin' Kinman brothers at Sundae Sound in Calgary, once again thanks to the generosity of studio owner Doug Wong . Around this time I also did some recording at Bullfrog Studios in Vancouver with Willy Ward's Wevenge , and compiled those recordings with the Japanese single, plus one of the first covers (a demo actually) of one of my songs by a singer from Toronto singer named Yohanna Vanderkly.

This collection wound up being released as my third indie cassette, Rough Cuts II: The Sequel.
